Art Classes
"Learn to Infuse Your Paintings with Vibrant Color
and Life."
Classes are open to
all levels of students from beginner to advanced. A basic knowledge of
color theory is considered very helpful as classes are about the layering
of color to achieve a vibrant glow to give life to your paintings.
When
and Where:*
Wednesdays,
9:30 am-3:30 pm, beginning January 3, 2008, at the Swannanoa Valley Fine
Art Leauge Studio, 999 Old Highway 70 in Black Mountain, NC.
Mondays,
9:30 am-3:30 pm, beginning, January 7, 2006, at the Conn-Artists studios,

corner of Fifth Aveue and Main Steet - Upstairs - Can enter building at
either Fifth Aveue or Main Steet)
Cost:
Class cost is payable on a monthly
basis. $60 day, or $30 half day, times
the number of Wednesdays or Mondays in the month.
Supplies:
Any soft pastels you have. Recommended
paper – either Canson Mi-Tientes(red, turquoise, tobacco, or yellow green)
or a sanded paper (Art Spectrum Colorfix or Wallis) in non-white colors
(I will have some extra for sale at cost, if you should need any), a free-standing
(not table) easel, medium charcoal sticks and any other supplies you may
need. You may also want to bring with you 8-10 outdoor photos you have
taken. Please also bring some photos or pieces of your work to help me
understand your style as well as level of study to the first class.
Early registration is suggested as classes fill quickly and there is a
limit on class size to allow for individual instruction when necessary.

Candler, NC (just west of Asheville). One can still take either
half day (9:30-12:30) or full day (9:30-2:30) classes.
